Shinobu Gakuen, the best private school in all of Japan. It is where the rich and powerful are handfed degrees and are primped and polished to follow in their parent’s footsteps. A home away from home to most, this luxurious place acts as a playground to the wealthy and its staff, their personal nanny’s.
Yet; underneath the luxury and the extravagance is a place one may call Hell. The six richest and most powerful heirs in Japan rule the halls, striking fear into the hearts of the students and demanding respect from all. Their parents donate large sums of money to Shinobu, keeping the school from going bankrupt. In return, the six can do as they please. What they say goes.
Hagane Kazuma sat on the ottoman across from Hyun Jin-Ho. His eyes skimmed the chess board, looking for an advantage. Ikeda Takahiro stood at the foosball table along with Ono Yuuki.
“Rumor around the halls is there are two commoners starting school this year” Yuuki said as he shot the ball into the goal, smiling in satisfaction as Hiro cursed under his breath.
“They’re letting commoners in this school now? Maybe I should resign” Kazuma murmured as he moved his bishop.
“How did they even get in?” Hiro asked as he blocked the ball from going into his goal.
“Their test scores. One of them scored above average and the other scored a perfect 100”
Both Hiro and Kazuma looked over at Yuuki.
“A 100? No way, that person had to of cheated” Kazuma said looking back at the board, moving his pawn.
“They said she retested three times and each time she scored a 100” Yuuki said shrugging. “The school board would be stupid to not allow the two in”
“I’ll give them a month” Hiro said as he leaned back against the wall.
“I give them two days” Kazuma said waving his hand.
“Really? I say they’re going to stay. How much you want to wager?” Yuuki said than grinned. {1} “¥ 30,680?”
“Your on” Kazuma said.
“I’m in too” Hiro said glancing off drolly.
“What about Min and Bae-Tae? Should we call them and ask if they would like to bet also?” Yuuki said grinning happily.
“When they get back; don’t disturb them when they are on vacation, Chekkumeito”
The three looked to Jin-Ho grinning. Kazuma quickly looked down, examining the board. He growled deep in his throat as he swiped the pieces off the table than stood.
“No fair, Yuuki was distracting me so it doesn’t count” He huffed and pouted much like a child would.
Jin-Ho bit back a laugh as he began to pick up the scattered pieces.

Amaterasu and Izanami strolled down the sidewalk, shopkeepers happily greeted them as they waved and exchanged small words. Nami looked up at her older sister, who today had bright blue eyes and half black hair, half pink hair. Even though Ame’s uniform was the same as hers, Ame had shortened the skirt and wore skull stockings that were pushed down around her ankles. Not that this appearance was not uncommon, it was the new ‘in’ fashion, what set her sister apart was the sleek dark wood {2} bokken with extravagant golden carvings she carried at her back.
Her sister could surely strike fear into the hearts of all those around her, yet very few new the real Ame; her Ame. The real Ame was a mother figure and smart enough to score a perfect 100 on the three retakes the school board made her take.
Standing next to her, the two looked like the sun and the moon. Nami had kept her hair and eye color natural her whole life, sticking with short and simple hair styles. Her uniform had nothing one would mark as ‘individualism’. To where Ame was a bright sun, she was a dulled moon.
The large front gates of Shinobu came into their view; they both stopped and starred at the students coming by limos, sports cars, horseback and helicopter.
“Are they trying to see who makes a bigger entrance or something?” Ame said, the side of her mouth pulling up in a scowl, her signature trademark.
Ame strung her arm around Nami’s shoulders before they started walking again, reassuring Nami that she would protect her. Many of the students stopped and watched as they made their way through the front gate and up to the main building. Snickers and comments were exchanged between the different clusters of students.
“This place is full of idiots” Ame muttered so only Nami could hear her.
The two walked up to the front desk as the woman looked up at them.
“I am Abe Amaterasu and this is my sister Abe Izanami; we need our schedules” Ame said.
The woman nodded than started typing on her computer, the printer buzzed as two sheets were printed out, the woman handed them to Ame.
“Your first class is down the East wing, Izanami yours is in the North wing”
They nodded a thank you than walked towards the North wing. Ame patted Nami’s shoulder than pulled the cell phone out of her pocket, handing it to Nami.
“Where did you get this?” Nami asked.
“I bought it with some of my extra paycheck money, I have one too” Ame held hers up. “I’m on speed dial one in your phone. You need me, give me a buzz. I’ll come running”
Nami looked up at Ame and smiled than slid it into her pocket, hugging Ame.
“Be good, Ame. No fighting” She said as Ame rubbed her back.
“Only if these people don’t start anything. Go on to class”
Nami nodded, pulling from her as she walked down the hallway, Ame watched her than turned down the East wing.

The lunch bell rang through the hallways as the students gathered their bags and walked from the classrooms. Ame stood leaned against the wall as Nami stepped out of the classroom and looked at her.
“Yo; how was your class?” Ame asked as they walked down the hall together.
“It was…strange, there wasn’t a teacher” She said glanced to her sister. “Everyone just sat in groups talking all period”
“Really? The same happened with my class” Ame said, wrinkles creased her forehead as she thought. “What the hell is going on with this school?”
They stepped into the lunchroom than paused, watching the students fill their trays with gourmet dishes and handing the chiefs hundreds of dollars at a time.
“Whoa…” Ame muttered than looked to the menu. “A 6 oz. steak at that price? {3}Masaka!”
“Good thing we packed a lunch” Nami said walking pass Ame as she found an empty two person booth, sliding into the chair as Ame joined her on the other side.
Nami opened her book bag, pulled out the {4} bento as she set it on the table than set the chopstick case beside it. She unscrewed the top, setting the three compartments in a row than pulled the two sets of sticks out, handing one set to Ame.
{5} “Itadakimasu” The two whispered as they clapped their hands, bowing.
Nami picked up a piece of fish, sliding it into her mouth and chewed as she smiled.
“I love how you cook the fish, {6}Ne-chan” Nami said, taking another bit.
Ame watched her eat than smiled, taking a bit out of the {7}onigiri. She cringed as the female students screamed happily, running pass them to crowd around the main entrance. The sisters watched them as two butlers pulled the doors open, four men walked into the cafeteria, the group of students parted to make an isle as they walked. None wore school uniforms but each was dressed formally. Wealth and power seemed to radiate from them as they walked to a staircase were a man pulled the velvet rope back, bowing as they walked up to the private balcony overlooking the cafeteria.
“Who are they?” Ame asked aloud.
Two girls standing in front of them gasped, spinning around as they starred at the two.
“You’ve never heard of them?” One asked. “Those are the four most powerful heirs in Japan”
“The one with orange hair, that’s Ono Yuuki. His father is the leader of the largest {8} yakuza gang in Japan, the Kazumi Clan. The guy next to him is Ikeda Takahiro; his family owns the largest company that manufactures expensive pottery and blown glass. They say his handmade items can cost millions of dollars and no two things are ever alike”
“The one in white is Hyun Jin-Ho. His family owns the largest trading company in Japan. And the leader of their group; that was Hagane Kazuma heir to LOVELESS Corp” The second girl finished. “There are two other; Seong Min and Bae Tae-Pyo. They’re cousins and currently on vacation. Their family runs a joint operation”
The two turned away from the table, starring up at the balcony. Ame and Nami looked to each other.
“He was the Heir to LOVELESS?” Ame asked.
“You know that company?” Nami asked.
“Yea; my workplace is owned by LOVELESS” Ame said than glanced to the balcony. “Nothing put pampered idiots, that’s what they are”
Nami watched her sister, laughing to herself as she continued eating.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Ame yawned heavily as the two walked down the pathway towards the science building.
“You didn’t get enough sleep?” Nami asked.
“I’m fine”
“You shouldn’t of been up all night cleaning and preparing my lunch”
“I don’t mind, I’ve got to look after my little sis; make sure you get the right nutrients at lunch” Ame said ruffling Nami’s hair.
Nami laughed, dodging from her sister’s hand as she straightened her hair.
“Hey! Komoto Kaito from class A-3 got the black ticket!”
The two stopped, looking back as the students raced pass them, gathering in a group. Nami walked towards the crowd, Ame quickly following after her. The male students tossed a young freshman around the circle as the crowd laughed. One gripped the boy by his collar, punching him. Nami gasped as Ame wrapped her arms around her, pulling her face into the nook of her neck.
“Don’t looked Nami” Ame whispered than turned Nami around, pulling from her as she pushed through the crowd, she drew out her bokken, swinging it down as it hit against the students arms, making him release the freshman.
“Cut it out!” Ame yelled, pulling the freshman beside her as the crowd backed up. “What the hell is wrong with you people?!”
“He got the black ticket” One girl said.
“Black ticket? What nonsense are you spewing out?” Ame asked.
“A black ticket means someone has angered The Four, that means we have to make sure he is punished” A male student said.
Ame snarled deep in her throat than swung her bokken forward as the crowd backed up again, she walked forward as they cleared a path. She walked to Nami than released the freshman’s hand.
“Go on home” She whispered to him. “I’ll make sure no one follows you”
He nodded, bowing a thank you as he raced off; the male students took a step forward than halted as Ame swung the bokken back.
“Chase him and your dead” She said. “Go back to class”
The crowd dispersed as Ame slide the bokken back into its holster. She rubbed Nami’s arm.
“Come on; we’ll be late” Ame said leading her into the science building.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Kazuma leaned back in his seat, watching the two students, their heads bowed down.
“What do you mean someone interfered?” He asked.
“One of the new students, Abe Amaterasu, she stepped in and saved Kaito, she was swinging a bokken around…nearly broke my arms”
Hiro and Yuuki glanced to each other.
“Bokken?” They asked under their breaths.
“Stupid commoners; they should learn their place” Kazuma growled.
“Should I issue a black ticket?” The other student asked.
“No; I’ll let it go this time” Kazuma said than gestured them to leave.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Nami and Ame walked down the pathway, they laughed as they turned the corner, Nami slammed against Kazuma, knocking him back as she fell over him. Ame gasped silently than helped Nami up as Kazuma glared at them.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” He asked Nami.
Nami bowed her head.
{9} “Honto gomen, Honto gomen” Nami repeated, her voice cracking.
Kazuma stood than looked at the dirt stains on his shirt.
“You’re sorry?” He asked angrily, Hiro and Yuuki glanced off as a crowd began to form around them. “Like ‘sorry’ will do anything about these stains, this shirt cost more than you”
“Forgive me, I’ll do anything, just please forgive me” Nami said timidly.
Kazuma watched her and thought for a moment.
“Bow down and beg for my forgiveness than” He said.
Nami quickly looked up at him as Ame’s eyes widened. Nami dropped down to her knees, Ame caught her arm, hoisting her back up.
“Don’t you dare bow down, Nami” She said, trying to bite her temper than glared up at Kazuma. “Leave my sister alone”
“Than you bow down” Kazuma said.
Ame laughed than pulled Nami behind her, standing in front of him.
“You’re crazy if you think I’ll bow to the likes of you” She said.
“What-” Kazuma was cut off as Rain grabbed his collar, gasps echoed from the crowd as Hiro and Yuuki looked back over to them.
“I said. You’re crazy if you think I’ll bow to someone like you” She yelled.
She pulled her first back, letting it ram into his cheek as he was thrown back, Hiro and Yuuki caught him, Kazuma starred at her.
“Leave my sister alone” Ame said, holding his gaze. “You got that? {10}Panku”
Ame gripped Nami’s wrist, walking back down the pathway as the crowd watched the two. Hiro and Yuuki bit back hysterical laughter as Kazuma pushed away from them, continuing to glare wide-eyed at the two sisters.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Nami yawned, stretching as she walked to her locker. She pulled the key out of her pocket than set it in the lock, the door popped open as she pulled the door back than paused, looking up at the black slip of paper with the gold skull and crossbones on it. Nami gasped, dropping her bag as she took a step back. She looked over as Ame walked to her, in her hand another black ticket.
“…I’m going to keep you safe, Izanami” She said quietly than balled up her first, crunching the paper up.
“Hey! Abe Amaterasu and Izanami both got a black ticket!” The voices rang through ever hallway and building.
Ame glared over at the crowd of students.
“This is your own fault for angering our {11} Purinsu” One girl said.
“We won’t hold back on you because you’re a girl, either” A boy said.
“I wouldn’t dream about it. Bring it on, if you dare!” Ame yelled.
The crowd dispersed as the bell rang. Ame glanced to Nami and laid her hand on her shoulder.
“Speed dial number one, Nami” Ame whispered than hugged her, walking down the hall.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Ame walked into the classroom and watched the students as they glared at her. She walked to the empty space where her desk once was. A group of four girls walked up to her.
“Ooh, Ame you don’t seem to have a desk” One cooed as the other three giggled.
“You know; I remember seeing a desk out in the garden” Hitomi said tapping her finger on her lip.
“Yea, yea; I did too” Kiku said looking to Ame. “You should go check it out”
Ame glared at them than walked from the classroom as she let the door slam shut.
“Damn them…” She growled lowly, clenching her fists, she walked down the hall and out into the garden area than looked at the desk sitting in the middle of the pond. She walked up to the bank, tilting her head than laying it against her open palm.
Ame threw her bag and bokken down onto the grass as she started taking her shoes and stockings off. She stepped into the pond and shivered, slowly making her way towards the desk. A horn blared as she screamed, dropping back into the water as the student’s laughed echoed out. Ame burst through the surface panting and spewing water, wiping the hair and water from her face, she glared at the group of students laughing as they walked away, one boy grabbed her bag and unclasped it, dropping all its contents into the water. She gripped the sides of the desk, pulling herself up as she tried to catch her breath. She looked around at her books, notes and personal items floating on the pond’s surface as she growled gently.
She pushed up her soaked sleeves and bent over, scooping up her textbooks and notebooks, dumping them in a heap on the desk. She breathed deeply than gave a slight paused as she heard a gentle splash. She turned, looking at Jin-ho bent over, picking up her cosmetic bag. He looked back at her, handing it forward. Ame hesitated than snatched the bag from him.
“I don’t need your help. I can take care of myself. {12} Baka” She hissed, turning away from him.
Jin-ho watched her than shoved her gently as she stumbled, tripping and falling back into the water. Her hand reached from the water, gripping the leg of the chair as she sat up, coughing as water dribbled over her face.
{13} “Ittai nani?!” She screamed, her face blushing in anger.
“Kazuma said you were spunky. I guess he wasn’t kidding” Jin-Ho said than bent, picking up a pencil pouch.
Ame gave a feral growl than lifted her feet from the water, planting them on his rear-end and gave him a forceful push, sending him tumbling into the pond with a large splash. Ame’s laugher rang out as Jin-Ho sat up, coughing gently as he pushed his hair to the side. He glanced at her, but couldn’t seem to look away from her radiant face. He laughed slightly, than glanced off. Ame pushed her hair from her shoulders as she stood, she sighed, reaching a hand out to Jin-Ho. He looked up at her than gripped her hand as he stood.
“Don’t think this changes anything” Ame said coldly. “You’re still one of them”
“I don’t condone what Kazuma does”
“You don’t exactly try to stop it either” Ame looked to him. “Do you know how many people have suffered because you, or no one for that matter, stepped up to offer and hand or even a kind word”
Jin-Ho looked at her, his mouth opened slightly as he paused, searching for words to say to her.
“48” Ame whispered gently.
He snapped back to reality. “48?”
“48 people have taken their own lives over the years because of your friend. 82 others attempted suicide and are now constantly watched” She started walked toward the bank. “None of them had even one friend, but I bet my life if they did, they wouldn’t have done what they did”
Ame stepped onto the grass, scooping up her items and swung her bokken over her shoulder. She walked off, leaving Jin-Ho to watch her as she left.
~-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
Ame mumbled angrily to herself from the courtyard all the way to the female locker room. She stripped down to her bathing suit that she always wore underneath her uniform, setting her soaked clothes on the table she turned the large dryer on than turned to the mirror. Her moderate makeup was starting to bleed down her pale cheeks, and her hair was an absolute mess.
It’s about time I stripped the color…I’m getting bored of black and pink. She thought, taking a mental note.
She sighed inwardly than grabbed a soft paper towel from the dispenser and started rinsing the makeup from her face. She squirted some face cleanser from another dispenser and scrubbed her face. Once she had rinsed the suds off and ran her brush through her damp hair she turned back to the mirror. Her classmates would be amazed if they saw her like this. Her natural beauty exceeds that of an average girl. But; over the years Ame had found that her natural beauty was too much to deal with so she hid it away with crazy hair colors and elaborate makeup.
She touched her velvet soft cheek; Nami had once called her a lotus, a beautiful flower that is born in the mud and can purify the area around it. She never could see what Nami does, but she knew she was no lotus.
Ame pulled her hair back and up, wrapping it into a bun and securing it with a hair band. She touched her jacket sleeve, it was dry; finally. She gathered her cloths in her arms than walked to the far wall, pressing a button as an ironing board swung down. She gripped the small iron and turned it on; she waited for it to heat. As she waited; it seemed like all she could think about was Hyun Jin-Ho. Once the iron was hot enough she started ironing her clothes in blissful silence.
